We received an email today stating that tickets for The Inaugural Ball (the only official ball open to members of the general public) and the Inaugural Parade would be available for sale tomorrow morning. We would receive an email with a special code.

About two hours later, Elissa checked her email and saw that she had already received the email to go onto the Ticketmaster website and try for tickets! She immediately logged on and the computer showed that everything was sold out. Elissa felt compelled to keep refreshing the page and 30 minutes later, a page popped up showing that tickets were available to the Inaugural Ball and the Parade. It took another 20 minutes to get through the very slow process, but she succeeded in obtaining two tickets to the ball and four for the parade!
